Abstract

The main purpose of this work is comparing analyze of Young Adults from Poland and Ukraine in risk society. This work describes future plans of Polish and Ukrainian Young Adults.
Main issues were based on previous studies about ways of evaluating and perceiving the risk society and depend on risk society – everyday stress life with consider related factors (social capital, place attachment and individual values) that modifying this evaluation and perception.
A cross-cultural analysis of research results carried in Poland (Lublin) included working people and students (N = 126) and in Ukraine (Lviv) included working people and students (N = 124). Major results included: Ukrainian respondents (students and working people) declared and predicted more stress events in their everyday life comparing to respondents from Poland; there were no differences in level of life satisfaction between respondents from Poland and Ukraine.
The both group evaluated their life in positive way; young Adults from Ukraine were more optimistic in their future planning. Polish respondents used to be more preventing about their future; future planning correlated with level of life satisfaction for Polish Young Adults. Plans for future correlated with individual values for both group of respondents and with social capital for Ukrainian Young Adults, and with place attachment for Polish respondents. Discussion and summary explained differences and similarities between Polish and Ukrainian Young Adults in future planning in risk society.
