Abstract

The paper emphasizes that the formation of professional competency in economic security management students should provide for a substantial analysis of professional problems regarding the economic security of enterprises and organizations and students’ training in effective cooperation. Implementation of the competency-based approach means using real professional tasks in the learning process, and the students should be focused on the analysis of the results of their own professional actions and decisions.
It is stressed that competency-based behaviour of economic security management students should be shaped using problem-based and project-based learning aimed at the development of critical thinking and ability to solve real professional problems and tasks independently.
Forming of key organizational and managerial competencies of future masters in management of economic security in the study of fundamental disciplinesis effective for the condition of in dependent professional activities to make better management decisions in solving specific problems, adequate to real activity.
The correlation of theoretical and practical aspects of formation of professional competence of future specialists in management of economic security. Dynamic changes associated with the introduction of market instruments led to intensification of production as the negative effects of the financial crisis, the need to secure economic development, the need for training qualified personnel. Essentially it concerns the training of specialists in safety management of economic activity. Knowledge and skills in management is one of the main conditions for successful professional management of enterprises.
Formation of professional competence of future specialists in management of economic security should include the following mastering competencies, such as: personal, scientific, instrumental, general and professional in the design, organization and management, research, teaching, expert and supervisory activities.
