ANALYSIS OF NON-MATERIAL MOTIVATION OF FUTURE EMPLOYEES OF THE NATIONAL POLICE IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The features of non-material motivation are revealed. The role of non-material motivation in the process of professional formation is analyzed.
It was stated that such components of psychological readiness as gnostic and motivational appear to the greatest extent. Thus, the gnostic component testifies to the ability to set different cognitive tasks for themselves and solve them, the ability to perform various mental activities, the flexibility and efficiency of thinking, the ability to refuse stereotyped ideas and judgments. The motivational component of psychological readiness is aimed at occupational orientation; it is characterized by positive attitude to the profession, the desire to apply their knowledge in practice, as well as the desire for continuous professional improvement and development.
As for non-material motivation, the most important is the need for self-improvement, interesting and socially useful work, achieving and maintaining social contacts. Interrelations between non-material motives and components of psychological readiness for professional activity are established. On the basis of factor analysis, important features have been identified that influence the process of professional development of future National Police officers. Among them there is a need for diversity, integration of the lifestyle, psychological readiness for professional activity, internal motivation (focus on the process and self-improvement, self-realization), value orientations (benevolence and independence), stimulation as a factor, activating any process, phenomena and actions, or activity as well as vital activity and desire for power.
