TO THE VALEOLOGICAL COMPETENCE OF SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL WORKERS OF INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE TRAINING OF PSYCHOLOGISTS

Abstract

The process of formation of health-saving behaviour in the society and ac-tive life position of its members in relation to their health is analysed. It is proved the impossibility of this process without the conscious and active participation of scientific and pedagogical workers. It is noted that the understanding of the possi-bility and the need for the formation, preservation and strengthening of individual health, that is, the formed valeological competence of teachers is a sign of their professional suitability for full-fledged performance of pedagogical functions, a model for imitation by students. It is determined that the formation of valeological competence of the scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education estab-lishment is extremely topical in practical and theoretical terms. It takes priority in the plane of a healthy lifestyle and requires careful study and certain affirmative action, especially on the part of researchers and teachers. It is indicated that only a person with a formed valeological worldview is able to actively, creatively work, fully realizing himself as a professional pedagogue. The understanding of the value of individual health by a scientific pedagogi-cal worker is disclosed to his students because of active valeological education, which should be regarded as a sign of the professional suitability of the teacher. With his own example, the scientific and pedagogical worker creates a «fashion for health», encouraging young people to lead a healthy lifestyle, forming their valeo-logical competence and carrying out the advice of S. Sarovskyi «Save yourself and thousands around you will be saved».
