Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to a theoretical study of the communicative attitude and an empirical study of the connection between the communicative attitudes of future teachers and the main types of attitude towards people from the point of view of clarifying their role (constructive or destructive) in establishing and maintaining contacts with communication partners. An objective analysis of the concept of “communicative attitude” as an intellectual and affective attitude of the subject to a certain attitude towards certain types of people was carried out. It was established that communicative attitudes are the psychological basis of the communicative properties of the individual and are manifested in strategies, styles of behaviour and manner of holding, as well as in subjective assessments of situations. The studied sample of future teachers showed that the vast majority of students have a complex of intolerant communicative attitudes (all indicators of communicative attitude are overestimated almost twice). Especially against the background of the general negative communicative attitude, veiled and open cruelty stand out, which significantly reduces the adaptive capabilities of the subjects. The results according to T. Leary’s method indicate, on the one hand, a high motivation for achievement and a pronounced tendency to leadership and spontaneous self-realization in interpersonal relationships, and on the other hand, the desire of future teachers to be friendly and achieve harmony in interpersonal relationships. The numerical value of the construct “friendliness” is more than twice that of “dominance”, which indicates the prosocial orientation of future teachers and the significant prevalence of conforming, conventional and altruistic types of interpersonal interaction among them. Correlation analysis of the negative communicative attitude showed a moderate negative relationship at p ≤ 0.05 with “compliant” (r= -0.32), “dependence” (r= -0.35), “conformism” (r= -0.31) and “altruism” (r= -0.34), which indicates possible problems with repressed cruelty towards certain categories of people in the subconscious, which can negatively affect relationships, make them superficial, block their spontaneity.
