THE PROBLEM OF SELFIEZM MODELING IN THE MODERN WORLD: THEORIES, REASONS AND FACTORS OF IMPACT

Abstract

The article reveals the peculiarities of growing selfie popularity in modern society. Many people find it an innocent fun, some people see it as self-promotion, others tend to recognize it as an art, while others consider its overuse as a mental disorder. Research studies confirm that the main reasons for selfie are the desire to follow trends, fashion and other mainstream movements. Selfie gives the opportunity to showing personal emotions and getting new, public broadcasting their sub personalities, images or alter – ego, their inner world creative potential.
By swearing and comments personality can improve self-esteem, enhance his own self cognition, develop and adjust his own image, analyze the images of the other, communicate, find new acquaintances. But selfie can become the reason of uncertainty, the possibility of being rejected and unaccepted, that can hurt «I».
Selfie dependence is formed in cases when a person thinking about himself as a photography, flees into the virtual world and losing himself as real, lives in the world of devised images, perceptions and representations of himself as well as people who surround him in the world.
Thus, we can say that virtual space that unites the whole world gives every person, every user the possibility to show his own image, his «I», to express himself in this way and therefore «play» with his perception in society, capacity to develop and find supporters, create new communications. In the meantime, one thing is clear: the descendants will examine with interest and even learn selfie of our time and will find much interesting and instructive information.
