SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF RESEARCHING THE PHENOMENON OF PERSONAL MATURITY IN THE PROFESSIONAL FORMATION OF FUTURE PSYCHOLOGISTS

The article is devoted to an empirical study of the level of personal maturity of psychology students and its component characteristics. The sociopsychological problems of the formation of personal maturity as a necessary personality quality of future psychologists in the process of professional training are outlined. The results of descriptive statistics and comparative analysis of the received empirical data regarding the level of personal maturity and its component content are presented. Analysis and interpretation of the obtained results was carried out. According to their own interpretations, the respondents defined personal maturity and its leading characteristics. According to the results of the questionnaire, it was confirmed that personal maturity is one of the main signs of readiness for the professional activity of a psychologist. The average values of the indicators of personal maturity, self-actualization and manifestation of the clarity of the self-concept are presented, all of them are at the average level. According to the results of a comparative analysis of the ability of psychology students to self-actualize, graduate students showed slightly lower results, in contrast to students of the 1st-3rd years. The highest indicators of selfconcept clarity were found in students of the 4th and 3rd years, and the lowest were recorded in the 1st year. Senior students have a higher level of awareness and formation of characteristics that contribute to the development of psychological maturity; respondents of the first and second years, as a rule, are in a state of selfdetermination and self-exploration, study the peculiarities of their own self-concept and analyze it. Prospects for further research on the actualization of the components of personal maturity among psychology students in order to optimize their professional and personal development have been determined.
