Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of realization of the model of psychological support of formation and development of professional identity of future teachers in the conditions of higher educational institutions. Psychological support of professional identity is one of the key stages necessary for the proper formation of a worthy teacher. The problem of formation of the professional identity of the future teacher, its structure, genesis and its psychological support of development has a theoretical and applied value in terms of achieving self-identity, personal growth, self-knowledge and spirituality.
A prerequisite for the development of a teacher’s professional identity is the very personality of the teacher, his personal and professional potential, as well as the special knowledge and skills necessary for this type of activity. The model of psychological support for the formation and development of the professional identity of future teachers in the learning process is the main component of the psychological support of the individual in the process of professional training and aims to fully realize the personal social and psychological potential, to meet the needs of the future teacher in his professional self-actualization. The results of implementation of the model of psychological support of development and formation of professional identity of future teachers are highlighted in the article. The obtained result reflect the growth in experimental groups in the number of individuals, with the improved indicators of the formed pedagogical professional identity.
The results of the molding experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the implemented model of psychological support for the development and formation of the professional identity of future teachers. The formation of indicators of pedagogical identity is an argument in favor of the need for a systematic and purposeful implementation of the model of psychological support for the professional identity of the future teacher among students of pedagogical higher educational institutions.
