Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of finding psychodiagnostic tools for express research for the purpose of comprehensive study of individual and personal properties of servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine. An empirical study was conducted covering a representative sample of cadets of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, which is based on a theoretical concept based on the principles of systematicity, optimization, the theory of integral individuality and orthogonal personality models. On this basis, an original psychodiagnostic complex of methods for rapid systematic psychodiagnostic research of personality has been developed, which includes adapted tests of general abilities, individual-personal properties and orientation. This complex allows a psychologist to compare, refine and supplement the results obtained during testing and formulate a reliable psychodiagnostic conclusion without significant time expenditure. Comparison of groups of successful and unsuccessful servicemen allowed us to establish that statistically significant differences were recorded between groups of successful and unsuccessful individuals according to many criteria and indicators of psychological suitability for service. This applies to general abilities, successful servicemen are more intellectually developed and creative. Regarding the criterion of individual and personal qualities, the successful ones turned out to be more active and courageous, responsible, less prone to depression. Evidence was obtained of less aggressiveness, intransigence and dominance of the representatives of the group of successful ones, a greater tendency to dialogue and compromise. The successful ones are more responsible in the performance of their duties, they show a desire to master new knowledge and skills. High indices on the compliance scale indicate a tendency to compromise in the process of dialogue, the ability to resolve conflicts. Higher indicators of professional resilience of successful people mean a higher level of their involvement in professional activities, better control over them and more effective acceptance of professional risks, the ability to withstand adverse circumstances. The criterion of orientation also revealed the advantage of successful military personnel. According to many indicators of psychological suitability for activity, no significant differences were recorded between the surveyed groups of successful and unsuccessful employees. This applies to the indicators of extraversion and introversion, as well as the indicators of sensitivity, emotionality and neuroticism.
