LEGAL DEONTOLOGY AND SPIRITUAL PEDAGOGY AS A SINGLE EDUCATIONAL MECHANISM FORMATION OF A RESPONSIBLE PERSONALITY

Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of functioning of legal deontology and spiritual pedagogy as an integrated educational mechanism for the formation of a responsible personality. The study is based on axiological, praxeological, anthropological and systemic approaches, which allowed to reveal the value, practical and worldview dimensions of the synergy of spiritual and deontological imperatives. Attention is drawn to the movement of “New Age Spirituality”, which promotes individual freedom of choice of various spiritual values from different religions on the basis of internal perception and worldview. As a result, the scientific doctrine speaks of spiritual pedagogy, which does not imply a direct connection with religious dogmas. It is emphasized that such an approach of renouncing sacred values carries the risks of blurring the spiritual axiological core, because in this case everyone becomes “the author of his own religion”. It is proven that the combination of such global trends with the general crisis of spiritual guidelines in the education system negatively affects the formation of a responsible personality – a specialist in the field of law. In this regard, the importance of the convergence of deontological and spiritual imperatives in legal education and legal activity is emphasized. Spiritual pedagogy strengthens critical thinking, enriches legal consciousness, forms value guidelines, “humanizes” the lawyer, ensures the resolution of social conflicts on the basis of spiritual values, and determines the trajectory of spiritual development. It is proposed to implement changes in educational programs, expand the opportunities for acquiring and improving general competencies and “soft” social skills, update educational and methodological materials, and transform communication between the educator and the student. At the same time, it is stated that, along with public institutions, the institution of the family is no less important, in which the growth of a lawyer takes place, as well as his internal motivation to approach the ideal of a competent, professional, virtuous and responsible personality, the desire to “be a human being”, which His Beatitude Lubomyr Husar spoke about.
