GRANTS OF THE DEVELOPPP PROGRAM FOR THE RECOVERY OF UKRAINE IN THE CONDITIONS OF WAR

Abstract

The article examines in detail the DeveloPPP Program implemented by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is emphasized that the DeveloPPP Program is aimed at companies that want to invest in developing or emerging countries and expand their local operations. It was noted that the focus of the Program is on companies with headquarters in the EU, a member country of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) or a country on the OECD DAC list, and Ukrainian companies can also receive support from the Program. It was emphasized that DeveloPPP as a global financing program offers opportunities and is open to different sectors and fields. The focal topics of the Program are: environmental protection and climate action (renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, resource protection and biodiversity); gender equality (increasing employment and income opportunities for women workers, strengthening the role of women as entrepreneurs and leaders, development-related services focused on everyday aspects of women's lives); sustainable supply chains (environmentally friendly production, social standards and working conditions, transparency and certification). The peculiarity of the Program was demonstrated, namely: its financing is aimed at achieving long-term business goals that correspond to the principles of sustainable development. The article outlines a number of requirements for applicant companies that must be met in order to apply for funding. Namely, the company must have: at least eight employees; annual turnover of at least 800,000 euros; at least two audited annual financial reports; positive net income and sufficient equity and liquidity to support your company's contribution. A number of recommendations have been developed for applicant organizations, the consideration of which will contribute to obtaining grant funding. Summarized, since the recovery process of Ukraine requires investment not only in the business sector, but also in social projects, the support of the DeveloPPP Program is significant and important, because its funding is directed to the activities of business companies that seek to achieve a social effect along with earning profits.
